Beside the Seaside archiveSet in a Blackpool boarding house in the 1950s, Beside the Seaside is the first play in the trilogy of seaside capers at the Sea View Guest House. The tyrannical Mrs Austin terrorises her lodger with her bread and butter pudding, while newlyweds Mr and Mrs Petter realise that marriage is not a honeymoon, and Wilf and Ethel Pearson try to prevent their daughter Sally from running off with the local 'theatrical trickster'. Chaos abounds in this stormy seaside resort. Beside the Seaside promises an evening of fun and laughter.
