Details

Because of the Lockwoods archiveDrama and romance both figure in this play set in a Lancashire town. It deals with the fortunes of the Hunter family. Mrs Hunter recently bereaved, her son and two daughters are obliged to live in the poorest district of town. The Lockwood's former neighbours prove patronising but the Hunters are saved from despair by the help of Oliver Read, a young junk dealer whose cheerfulness and acumen assists them to a much brighter future.
