Danny's ancestral background is less than straightforward. As his father says, 'We're German, Homosexual, Afro-American, Cross-dressing, Communist Jews!' Gowan Calder's play follows the journey of cabaret star Danny, from a tenement in Glasgow to the notorious drag clubs of Berlin, amid back-stage chaos and onstage antics.
