Playwright, Rod Dungate, using startling correspondence between Cashman and the imprisoned and interviews and newspaper articles, sets out an extraordinary tale of one man's personal journey to redemption. Making a unique contribution to the present debate around historical sexual abuse and cover-ups, victims are given a new voice through this production. At the centre of the narrative is the correspondence between cavalryman, Alex Rees, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for the attempted murder of Lord Michael Cashman. The startling correspondence reveals Rees' disturbingly honest motive whilst identifying personnel and officials involved in covering up something much, much bigger...
