Asian Voices Asian Lives archiveDuring the 1990s, British Asians moved from hidden to hip, Liverpool's Asian Voices Asian Lives where pioneers. Now parents to a new generation, AVAL return to Unity with a lyrical musical performance exploring resolved identities and renewed struggles. Asian Voices Asian Lives formed in 1992 as a creative writing workshop for British Asians. By the following year along with its female-only offshoot The Silent Women they where producing poetry, comedy and music performances in addition to published and broadcast work. Kidder is a blend of poetry, music and comedy that is funny, political, inspiring and moving in equal measures.
