Episode 6: Make a Way Out of No Way is a 3-day exploration, through performance, screenings and discussion, of the art and politics of wayward communities who refuse to be bound by the fictions of race and sex. Working with communities we're entangled with here and in the USA, it will explore what we can learn from runaway slaves, maroon societies and the underground railway, black sociality, queer counter-publics and wayward communities today: through performances, politicised street dance, clubbing, artists film, operatic queer requiems, experimental poetry as philosophy; and their politics, including the prison abolition movement and queer practices of realness.
