All of That Trouble That We Had archiveWhen you're in despair no action seems too extreme: on one side of a bridge a daughter, Hannah, employs reckless measures to secure the return of her dead mother. On the other side a man, Leyton reads Motiveless Crimes and contemplates the craziest of schemes. And always in the background the distant sound of bodies splashing down from the bridge into the river. What part does Margot, the cheery, cigar smoking postmistress play and who is Oliver, the overweight salesman who suddenly drops into their lives? Are these bizarre happenings really chance, malice or destiny? A darkly comic and vivacious tale of wickedness hilariously explores the comic limitations of sad, small Britishness in the face of a rather tragically-minded universe.
