Henrietta Lacks died of cancer in Baltimore in 1951. Except she didn't. Before she died her doctors took a sample of her cells and kept them alive in a lab. They multiplied. They used them to cure polio. Sent them to space. They're still alive today. She never gave permission. Was never asked for consent. And the same thing could happen to you.
