Details
An older couple, Grace and Milton, now find their farm near Ruthin difficult to manage. Their son-in-law suggests developing the site with its historical associations, as a visitor centre, starting now in the summer of 2014 with a dramatisation of All Quiet On The Western Front. As the performance is about to begin, a mysterious stranger appears with a story which troubles Grace. Local people now re-enact scenes from the novel, while Grace, as narrator, confronts not only the historical past but also her own. The play moves on towards its inevitable finale where past and present merge in a violent conclusion.
