Albert paints the bridge. Once he and his team have finished, they start again. Hampered somewhat by the cost-cutting policies of the Chairman and his team of adept bureaucrats, Albert is engaged in a constant battle to defend the beauty of his beloved bridge. But he doesn't really mind the struggle: life up on the bridge gives him time to think, time away from his persistent mother and devoted wife.
