A Song for Ella Grey archiveClaire and her friends camp on the beach at Bamburgh. The bonfires and wild landscapes help them forget about anticipated grades, passes, fails, averages, stars and all that other rubbish. Claire's best friend Ella is stuck at home and Claire knows she wouldn't want to miss the moment a beautiful stranger joins them carrying an unusual instrument. His name is Orpheus. Claire calls Ella and holds out the phone so she can hear the enchanting, otherworldly music that Orpheus plays and sings. From that moment Claire watches as her best friend tumbles into a love so deep it's as if she's been captured. A love so complete that not even death can prove final.
