From Sullivan to Strauss

Work:: From Sullivan to Strauss (S01860666522)

Production:: (T0609528593)

Thrilled to return to Pershore after their sell-out performance last March the Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society promise you another beautifully costumed and choreographed production. Part One, ‘Sullivan’, is an adapted concert version of Gilbert & Sullivan’s Iolanthe. Fairies Celia and Leila meet up for a picnic and a good old gossip and so the story is presented. Part Two is based on the Act Two party scene from Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss (the younger). In this section not only do we have the wonderful music of Strauss, but we are treated to some Offenbach too. For an uplifting evening of fun, laughter and wonderful music, this is one not to be missed. Running Time: 140mins (inc interval)
