As the sun sets over Southampton Water, embark on an imaginary voyage on a very odd Ship. There are strange noises coming from the engine room, some of the crew have caught a mermaid, and something is trying to get out of the Cargo Hold. In the First Class Saloon the band sing songs of heartbreak and longing whilst the Captain navigates through a sea of dreams. And in the faint glow of a full moon a deer walks the deck - searching - but for what? There's a surprise lurking round every corridor - come aboard, leave your cares on shore, avoid the Sirens' song and join the list of souls on board... The Voyage of Lost Dreams is an immersive installation aboard the SS Shieldhall. Every member of the audience will have their own unique experience with the story - you are free to wander the Ship discovering characters, incidents and vital clues to the mysterious goings on. Keep your eyes and ears open and try to unravel the Secrets of the Sea... The SS Shieldhall is a Heritage ship included in the National Historic Fleet and is generally recognised to be the largest working steamship of her type in Britain and probably Europe
