Details
Step into the miniature lost world of Shanta Rao Dutt, a pioneer from the early days of film-making. Dutt left India in 1896 to follow the Lumière Brothers to France, and travelled the world making short films. Some of these rare cinematic gems have been recently uncovered by Ajay Chhabra, artistic director of nutkhut, and are now screened for the first time in over fifty years. Guided by a 'Dutter' (the affectionate term for Dutt film enthusiasts), you will see original memorabilia followed by a showing of one of the recently restored films in a plush velvet screening room.
