The Red Ensemble, joined by guest musicians, combine varied approaches in electronic and experimental composition and performance to present a multi-perspective sonic investigation into the intimacies, idiosyncrasies and potentiality of the performance space. The Red Ensemble, joined by guest musicians, combine varied approaches in experimental electronic composition and performance to present a multi-perspective sonic investigation into the intimacies, idiosyncrasies and potentiality of the performance space. Fuelling a performance which both engages with and transcends the listening space, this exploration into relationships between sound, space and performer is enriched through the collaboration process, resulting in a work which reflects the environment through multiple sonic and creative mirrors. The Red Ensemble was formed by three electronic musicians in order to explore a process of improvisation which evolves not through direct musical interaction between the performers, or between performers and a score, but through their engagement with and contribution to the sonic environments spontaneously created in their performances. Presented as part of Pulse, Glasgow Music's 2 year programme of electronic music funded by Creative Scotland
