Southern Comfort

Work:: Southern Comfort (S896409525)

Meet four women struggling to make sense of the hurly-burly of modern Cornish life: Pearl, a lawyer recently moved from London to escape the prejudices of the big city, finds in Cornwall her troubles are far from over. Gilly, a nurse, finally has all she ever wanted in life; a husband, a child and the perfect job - but just how she got them she'd rather you didn't find out. Kelly, an ordinary Cornish girl, whose life is blown apart by family secrets and a relative who comes to stay but proves difficult to get rid of. And Staci who works in 'Cod's Gift' chip shop, but aspires to a life beyond the limitations of Cornwall, seeking stardom as a singer, model and contestant on Blind Date. Thrown together by the events of one unforgettable night, their lives are changed forever. Created using the methods of Mike Leigh.
