Princess Irene lives a lonely life in the castle, with no mother and a father too busy with kingly duties to notice her. Outside the castle, the goblins live in mine tunnels under the mountains. Everyone is afraid of the Goblins who especially hate children. They plot to kidnap Irene and make her marry the prince of goblin. The only person who is not scared is Curdie the miner's boy. Are you brave enough to help Curdie try to rescue Princess Irene?
