Details

Sciarrino describes his one act opera as an 'invisible action' for voice, choir and ensemble. Based on Laforgue, the story focuses on Elsa as she anticipates the arrival of Lehengrin, her savior. In Lohengrin, Sciarrino uses his delicate and beautiful music to powerful effect. Invisible action is musical action. The score embodies all that Elsa perceives and draws the audience into an intense human drama.
