Test Match Special broadcaster and cricket writer Henry Blofeld discusses his life and career. Blowers talks kindly and humorously about life in the commentary box with greats such as Brian Johnston, why cakes became such an important part of the show and the wine stories involving John Arlott's unquenchable thirst. All aspects of cricket - the players, the administrators and merits of Twenty/20, to name but a few - are up for discussion. Current scandals, sporting and political, are all given a good airing and his own background, including his namesake Ernst Stavros Blofeld, who was the anti-hero of one of Ian Fleming's early Bond books, is explored at length. Audience questions round off a fascinating evening.
