Amjad is Lock's interpretation of
Swan Lake but this is poite shoes and ballet with a starling contemporary twist. His dancers seem to move faster than the speed of light as jumps and gestures snap through space, their bodies twisting both horizontally and vertically. All this accompanied by an on-stage quartet of piano and strings playing the music of Gavin Bryars, David Lang and Blake Hargreaves. Running time approx. 1hr 45mins (no interval)
