Two New Musicals: Astronots & The Reckoning archiveThese two brand-new one-act musicals appear side-by-side for an unforgettable evening of tears, laughter and electrifying music, fresh from the minds of London's finest young musicians and playwrights. First up, Felix Hagan brings a concert performance of The Reckoning to the King's Head Theatre stage. Set in the heart of a mediaeval military strong-hold, this powerful folk-rock musical flits between tender love scenes and grisly depictions of the brutalities of war. Next up, we have Astronots, co-authored by award-winning playwright Anthony MacMahon. This quirky musical follows the lives of two ordinary brothers as a series of not-so-ordinary events unfold around them. Martin, the elder, has a girlfriend: David, the younger, has a half-built space ship in his living room. But as the rocket ship comes together, Martin's relationship begins to fall apart.
