The Prodigal archiveThe Prodigal is a well-known story of reckless extravagance. It is relevant to any place and any time. The story sweeps through nine centuries from its beginning in the 13th century with the building of Salisbury Cathedral, through medieval London, the slave trade and the roaring twenties to its culmination in the present day. The story is seen through the eyes of many of its characters - the man himself, his brother, the women in his life, his father and mother and even the pigs!
