Gudbye t' Glam archive1970s Preston: the Guild celebrations, the Guild Hall opens and Glam Rock hits the town. Harry runs a record stall on the covered market and is a small time rock promoter. His customers are the young people of Preston who look to the future, pull on their platforms and raid the kitchen foil drawers. For some it's Bolan and Bowie, for others Slade and Sweet, and others still Motown and Northern Soul. The glam gets them through the traumas of teenage years, but then it's time to move on. The hot pants and the flares are folded away, but there will always be the memories and the music.
