Boorskale archiveA musical set in the imaginary village of Boorskale, somewhere in the hills of Derbyshire, where three elderly sisters share their twilight years. Boorskale swings from high comedy to deep melancholy as the sisters' independence hangs in the balance. Mary, the eldest, struggles to retain control in the house, finding the gin bottle to be of more assistance than either of her two sisters. Violet is in the early stages of senile dementia, and housebound Flo is seemingly more intent on enjoying the edible pleasures of life, than following the doctor's orders! Interfering neighbour, Nellie, sparks a chain of events that see all four characters winding up in a nursing home, with a final twist to the story as Nellie plots her revenge.
