The Call

The Call

Work:: The Call (S01320204550)

London, Christmas Eve, present-day. In the immediate aftermath of a bloody terrorist bombing in the West End, a Samaritan volunteer is interviewed by terrorist squad detectives. She took a bomb warning call minutes before the incident and is now racked with confusion, guilt and grief. Through the long hours of a Christmas night the police questioning takes us deep into the mind of the teenage Islamist bomber who made the call - and the heart of that innocent woman who found herself at the centre of a catastrophic and life-changing event. Steve Gough's compelling, award-winning play takes us deep into the lives of ordinary people caught up in extreme - yet all-too familiar - circumstances.
Author Steve Gough
