But issues outside of the ring soon take over. Extreme Corners bravely tackles the simmering racial tension in Britain today, set against the aggressive backdrop of professional boxing. The Passport by Pierre Bourgeade (IPF Selected Play) The Passport is set in pre-communist Russia and Natalya has sold all her possessions to defect for a new life in another country. All she needs now is a passport from Fyodor, an upstanding civil servant who does everything by the book. But there are problems with her application and Natalya will need to assimilate the very principles of the bureaucraticregime she so wishes to escape. This daring piece of writing is a dark Orwellian tale of the power of the state to control every aspect of our life.
