A deeply personal yet darkly comic look based on the true local story of her kidnap to Saudi Arabia as a child by her father. 1980 and Samia and her siblings have been taken from the family home in Chiswick to Saudi Arabia by their father. However, after failing to return after an access visit, a high court judge orders Samia's fathers arrest and a nationwide air and sea port watch is put in place. Kidnap outlines the details leading up to the event and is a darkly comic monologue on multiculturalism, disability, trauma, mental health and how kidnap can involve a swimming pool.
