The Unspeakable

The Unspeakable

Work:: The Unspeakable (S2139316846)

The Unspeakable tells the story of a family of musicians. Antonia and her father, Edward, have not spoken for twenty years; and as far as Lydia, her daughter is concerned, the mysterious composer who was her grandfather is long dead. So when Lydia, now 25, a concert violinist, and practicing for the most important performance of her young career, discovers to her shock that he is still alive, she confronts her mother and demands to know the truth. But the secret Antonia has been hiding is darker than she could have expected. Edward has Huntington's Disease; and so, therefore, might Antonia; and so too might Lydia.
