King's Head Theatre Online
Work:: King's Head Theatre Online (S0432708302)
Production:: (T410569720)
For free, every weekday at 1pm for 30 minutes, the King's Head Theatre is streaming a different window into the theatre accessible to everybody: our entire community, from artists to audiences to just Facebook followers, we can stay connected and we can develop together. Today, we spotlight Cuckoo Bang Theatre, with artistic directors Chris Mayo and Holly Mallett talking about their new writing focus. On Tuesday, we are joined by lighting designer Clancy Flynn. They will be sharing how they approach lighting design from a non-technical perspective, focusing on textual analysis, world-building, and communicating with directors and the rest of the creative team. On Wednesday, theatre director Jamie Armitage will be answering any questions you may have about directing, working with new writing and rehearsal process. Jamie is an Artistic Associate at the King's Head Theatre and a Resident Director at the Almeida Theatre, and his recent shows include the multi-Olivier award nominated musical SIX. Thursday will be a Skills Session with a leading industry professional: this week, David Thackeray and Ita O'Brien, intimacy coordinators, will discuss their work when dealing with intimacy, sexual content, and nudity. On Friday, Caroline Buckley, producer of Plays Rough London, discusses the process of developing a new-writing night, the importance of scratch-nights for the theatre industry and what they look for in a script. She will also announce their next online event.
