Stab in the Heart (Dvoboj)

T01133785397
Dvoboj is literally translated as Duel, and the duel in question is a battle between a man and a woman - a seduction as a sequence of calculated moves, which are based on strategy and tactics. The word is the main instrument, as it counter-points the space of silence. The prize, and the object of desire, is a touch. But when the touch is won, the game is over, and there is no triumph in the end of the thrill. The desired touch has become a stab. De Brea has taken inspiration from several sources to create Dvoboj, including two paintings by Rogier van der Weyden and the secret letters of the 12th century star-crossed loves Abelard and Heloise.
