RICH CREATIVE returns to The Cockpit to showcase four exciting new writing talents whose work has been picked to be further developed from their sell-out feminist scratch night, The Female Gaze & Other Stories. The writers have had shows performed at Theatre 503, The Pleasance, Etcetera Theatre, have worked with High Tide, and have been long-listed for the Old Vic 12. IT, by Annabelle Rich, follows the relationship between Allie and It - a young woman and her eating disorder. This piece offers a unique insight into an often misunderstood illness. Francesca Tennant provides a hilarious comment on mindfulness as we watch Nat attempting to find balance both in her life and on her yoga mat in Chitta Vritti. Can an asexual girl be herself in a sexual relationship? A-Sexual-Being by Sophie Ablett gives us Alia and Bea, girls with very different perspectives on sex, attempting to create an unlikely relationship. In The Circle, Emily Ren?e explores the momentous effects of rape on a loving couple, who are forced to re-examine their sexual identities.
