Josephine Dyer/Hannah Bruce/Coy-Motion (Rebecca Convey) - Viva la Vida/Rising Passing/Shhhhh!

Work:: Josephine Dyer/Hannah Bruce/Coy-Motion (Rebecca Convey) (S157717964)

Production:: Viva la Vida/Rising Passing/Shhhhh! (T1218288861)

Viva la Vida - A solo inspired my Mexican painter, Frida Kahlo: her injured body, turbulent emotional life, and unusual beauty. Named after her final painting, a hurried still-life of exotic fruit, Viva la Vida affirms Frida's passionate embrace of life. Rising Passing - An evocative solo using Virginia Woolf's writing as a springboard to explore memory and intimacy in live performance. The subtle and mutating mood plays with presence, absence and intimacy as the performer literally re-members the body. Shhhhh! - A cinematic dance adventure... Using early silent film and melodrama as inspiration, the piece lies in the realm between reality and film.
