The epic space of the North Duveen gallery will be buzzing with life as English National Ballet animates Picasso and Modern British Art with ballet classes, workshops, rehearsals and performances. The programme includes opportunities to watch, sketch and even join in over the course of the week. English National Ballet's residency at Tate Britain is an extraordinary opportunity to witness dance and visual art together, and explore how Picasso was so enthused by the great ballet Company. The artistic culmination of the residency will be performances of three ballets commissioned by English National Ballet especially for Tate Britain and the Picasso and Modern British Art exhibition which will be premiered in the Duveen galleries at Late at Tate on Friday 2 March. The full schedule of activities will be available from 6 February. It is not necessary to book for the majority of the week's activities but some events will be ticketed (free tickets available on the day).

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
