Stan Won't Dance - Off the Wall

Stan Won't Dance

Work:: Stan Won't Dance (S1993092002)

Production:: Off the Wall (T01886518154)

Ever wanted to just run away from it all, escape the rat race, take the plunge and dive into the unknown? To celebrate the relaunch of Southbank Centre, Artists in Residence Stan Won't Dance collaborate with designer Michael Pavelka, and an international collection of circus artists, dancers and free runners to create an unforgettable large-scale outdoor spectacular that sidesteps conformity and shatters the boundaries of the imagination. The striking landscape of Southbank Centre's rooftops becomes a futuristic urban backdrop to a world where people run up walls, skim across sharp edges and defy the laws of physics and physicality. A fearless professional cast is joined by graduate performers and students from Forest Hill Boys School and Sydenham Girls Schools. Created in partnership with Laban, The Circus Space and London College of Fashion.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
