Kai Humphries - Punch Drunk

Kai Humphries

Work:: Kai Humphries (S769414338)

Performer Kai Humphries

Production:: Punch Drunk (T0362728933)

In the boxing ring, the only thing more powerful than sibling rivalry is brotherly love. Acclaimed award-winning comedian Kai and his brother Gav grew up on a council estate in the mean streets of Blyth, a socially deprived town on the outskirts of Newcastle. Gavin wasn't just an older bro but also occasionally also a bodyguard, his ?protection? allowing Kai to develop the cocky, fearless personality that would equip him to go on to become an internationally successful stand-up. This wonderfully affirming and downright hilarious story is how a life-changing accident in 2013 led the brothers to create one of the country's most prestigious comedy chains ? ?Punch-Drunk Comedy? and how Punch-Drunk's regular stand-up events along with their associated food-bank collections, community outreach programmes as well as the now infamous and literally life-saving Comedians Boxing charity fundraiser 'Fight For Kian'' -has brought some of the biggest names in live comedy to the working men's clubs in the North East of England and has both reignited and rejuvenated a community's spirit. Feel good comedy of the highest order and jokes which (literally) pack a punch!
