Les Vepres siciliennes

Work:: Les Vepres siciliennes (S115948611)

The French have occupied Sicily, and H?l?ne is held hostage by Montfort, the French governor, who has had her brother executed. She turns to the partisan Jean Procida and the rebellious patriot Henri in her bid for vengeance.
Music Verdi

Production:: (T0991704632)

Sung in French with English surtitles. Running time: 4hrs 30mins (with two intervals). Unfortunately the illness that prevented Marina Poplavskaya from singing the role of Helene in the premiere of our new production of Les Vepres siciliennes has persisted longer than expected, and has made it impossible for her to sing the remaining performances. CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
