Hurricane Protest Songs

Work:: Hurricane Protest Songs (S02071706471)

In response to reports earlier this year that disabled staff were still significantly under-represented in theatre, coupled with more recent comments that a diverse in-take of students pose a threat to quality, alongside anti-diverse casting continuing across the 'mainstream', the Ensemble training programme - led by the UK's pioneering disabled-led theatre company Graeae - has been tackling the barriers faced by the next generation head on. This breakthrough new production interweaving spoken word poetry, movement, music and storytelling asks: What is our future? How can we change the world? Are we really in control of our own destiny? All performances integrate creative use of British Sign Language, captioning and audio description.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
