A musical which charts the story of Annie Stylee, a nine-year old Jamaican girl whose parents (one of the first wave of immigrants from the West Indies) die in a car crash shortly after they arrive in the UK on the famous Empire Windrush boat in the early 50s Annie is then taken into care. The production focuses on the plight of children who ended up in local authority care and uses newsreel footage from the period.
