Showstopper

Showstopper

Work:: Showstopper (S4971)

An English ex-pat, Carole dreams a genuine fame, thrilled by her close proximity to so many legends of the film world. But for Carole, the biggest star of them all, the only one who really matters, whose fame and beauty could perhaps change the world and teach us all how to love again, is Audrey Hepburn. As the play begins she is in the studio recording what she believes is a new song for My Fair Lady. The truth, however, is more curious and will draw her dangerously into the life of her beloved Audrey. Showstopper takes you back to an age when singers could really sing, when the stars knew how to be famous and you knew what love was because you'd seen it at the movies.
