A Christmas Carol by Candlelight - Charles Dickens performs live again. (Nearly!)

Work:: A Christmas Carol by Candlelight (S01273109666)

Production:: Charles Dickens performs live again. (Nearly!) (T84372359)

Charles Dickens returns to his home district of Fitzrovia, London, to give a candlelight performance of his own, 'A Christmas Carol'. Or at least his script does. The award-winning Maverick Theatre Company, acknowledged for starting Pub Theatre in its home city of Birmingham, is about to create another first - the first public performance this century of Charles Dickens' original performance script of ?A Christmas Carol.' And to add to the occasion, it is at a location Dickens himself would have known. It's near the only house in London where Charles Dickens lived twice. And it marks one of the first public performances to be given at the former Middlesex Hospital Chapel - recently reopened and renamed The Fitzrovia Chapel after a £3 million pound renovation.
