Earthfall - The Factory

Work:: Earthfall (S02014139859)

Earthfall was formed in 1989 by Jessica Cohen and Jim Ennis with a policy of forging radical choreography with live music and strong visual imagery. The company is based in Cardiff and has rapidly established itself as an outstanding exponent of pioneering dance theatre. Earthfall's issue-based work is concerned with seeking a personal honesty, passion and economy in physical performance to produce quality work of depth. Earthfall has performed throughout the world in many major festivals and has featured on numerous TV and radio broadcasts.

Production:: The Factory (T148894044)

This new production explores icons and identity, informed by the explosion of creativity, dynamism, hedonism and protest that marked the 60’s decade, much of which was reflected in Andy Warhol’s factory space on East 47 Street. Influenced by the subterranean underground arts scene during the late 50’s / 60’s New York City, Earthfall takes the factory as representing a catalyst for change, a place for freaks, creative outcasts and bacchanalian revelry. Multi-award winning Earthfall’s latest work using dance, film and live music is inspired by the underground New York arts scene of the ’50s/’60s, exploring the protests, creativity, and hedonism that marked the ’60s.
