Legendary bandleader Ray McVay swings into London to direct the UK's most renowned big band for a nostalgic journey back to the forties with chart topping war time hits such as: Rhapsody in Blue, Dambusters March, Russian Patrol, music from Carmen, Stardust and New York, New York. Plus classic Glenn Miller favourites, including Moonlight Serenade, American Patrol, In the Mood, String of Pearls and Little Brown Jug. The orchestra will perform the second half of the concert in the World War II uniforms of the US army Air Force.
