A woman awakes on a beach, unsure of who she is or where she came from. A man wanders the city, whispering the name of his first true love. A small child plays on a swing set, tears softly hitting the dust. A dog barks at no one in particular. On a beach, in a place not far from here, 27 Protagonists have been washed ashore - and are about to find themselves again. Inspired by Luigi Pirandello's A Day Goes By and drawing from the quiet ferocity and grand ambition of the golden age of silent films.
