From its origins in 1920s America, Black History Month has become an annual celebration throughout Britain since 1987, increasing cultural awareness and capturing people's imagination through special events. This year, the Nia Project brings to Suffolk another stimulating programme and is delighted to be working with The New Wolsey Theatre. Keynote speaker Lord Ouseley is joined by gospel ensemble Heart's Desire and poet Jason Babbs for an evening of celebration to launch Black History Month.
