Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp

Work:: Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp (S1129668044)

Production:: (T02139589404)

Hot on the heels of Cinderella and faster than you can say ‘Open Sesame’, we are delighted to announce this year’s spectacular pantomime - Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp. Join us as we take off on a magic carpet ride to the mysterious and entrancing east, where we meet the hero of our story Aladdin, his clumsy brother Wishee Washee and their madcap mother Widow Twankey, who runs the local laundry. The tale unfolds when Aladdin falls in love with the beautiful Princess, whose father is the Emperor of China! Mayhem ensues, as it is death to anyone who dares to lay eyes on her! But it’s when ‘Uncle’ Abanazar entices Aladdin into the cave of jewels and he meets the Genie of the Lamp and the Slave of the Ring that the story really takes off! Aladdin is one of the most traditional pantomimes and as ever, we promise slap-stick comedy, beautiful music, sumptuous scenery and colourful costumes - a truly enchanting experience for the whole family! So make your wishes come true and rub the lamp to transport yourself to The Leatherhead Theatre!
