The Tim Kliphuis Trio is fast gaining a reputation as one of the most imaginative, exciting and entertaining bands on the acoustic scene. Returning to the Brunton theatre by popular request, Tim and his colleagues Nigel Clark (guitar) and Roy Percy (bass) present their exciting mix of Django’s Gypsy music, bluesy grooves and Folk, with a special Homecoming focus on national poet Robert Burns. Dutch fiddle ace Tim's style is rooted firmly in the Gypsy tradition of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, combining effortless virtuosity with melodic lyricism and adding musical flavours and influences from around the globe to create an inspired and daring acoustic fusion.
