Dog Kennel Hill (UK) - Choreography of An Arguement Round a Table

Dog Kennel Hill (UK)

Work:: Dog Kennel Hill (UK) (S01170263569)

Production:: Choreography of An Arguement Round a Table (T01873732430)

An unpredictable and riotous physical performance that unpicks what it is to be in an argument, and how we win and lose while our trousers are down. The setting around a table could be a pub, the UN Security Council or a family dinner in Hampstead. The work provokes questions on the absurdities of political stances, self-belief, power, manipulation and confrontation whilst revealing how the physical body exists within social and intellectual constructs. 5 striking performers and a piano create an unpredictable and riotous physical performance that unpicks what it is to be in an argument, and how we win and lose while our trousers are down.Punctuated by Matteo Fargion's often hauntingly simple piano studies, the group appropriate provocative actions and statements, like puppets, operating a formal, tight, rhythmical, structure, within which messy, confusing ideas can exist.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
