England Expects is an original and new musical telling the story of the Battle of Trafalgar - the decisive victory won on 21 October 1805 by Nelson over the combined French and Spanish Fleet. With stirring and memorable songs, England Expects tells the tale of the days leading to the battle up to and after the death of Nelson. Viewed through the eyes of John Pasco, the Signal Lieutenant of Nelson's flagship HMS Victory, the songs are based on the signals given to the British fleet as the conflict drew closer. The musical lays emphasis on the three 'H's - Heritage, Heroism and Humanity.
