The Empty Theatre
Work:: The Empty Theatre (S620376825)
Henry Flood is touring the provinces with his current play hoping it will take him back to the west end after a long absence. His company have just reached the latest venue on the tour which appears to be abandoned and in a state of neglect. He and his assistant Gillian are first to arrive followed by two younger cast members Simon and Tania. It doesn't take long for them all to realise that the theatre is not as empty as it seems as strange characters and mysterious happenings make the atmosphere very frightening. Henry is forced to confront events from his past which have returned to "literally" haunt him. A multimedia production takes the audience on a spooky journey and brings this ghost story to an unexpected and shocking end.
CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
