Steve, a psychiatrist with a troubled past, sets out to save the soul of Gary, a petty criminal whom he catches trying to break into his home...but he reckons without the attentions of Gary's girlfriend, Becky, who has little interest in happy endings! In Once a Thief, the desire for an idealistic world clashes head on with the rawness of reality...and all that is left in the aftermath is the will to survive.
